Institutional Subscriptions

An Institutional Online Subscription allows Internet access to the full content of the Journal for all Authorized Users of the Institution, as defined by the Guidelines for Institutional Access.

Individuals who are not HS members may subscribe at the Individual (Non-Member) level, at the Institutional level, or may want to consider applying for HS membership.

Ordering Procedure

Subscribing to JHC Online is a 2 step process:

First, Please follow the standard "new serial" ordering procedures to subscribe to JHC, (ISSN 0022-1554), in either print (with free online access) or the Online only edition. Payment may be made to your subscription agent or directly to JHC.

Second, once we have received and verified payment, you will receive activation instructions via email for obtaining access to the online edition; the email will direct you to an online form. You will be asked to provide the following information necessary to activate your subscription to JHC Online:

Institution's IP Address(es)
[CRITICAL INFORMATION ABOUT IP ADDRESSES -- READ THIS]

Contact name, title, phone, fax, and email

Customer number (included with the letter)

We are only able to provide you with this information if we have full enduser address information, including your email address. Please ensure that you or your subscription agent provide us with complete enduser address information.Your institution will not have access to the full JHC Online until you complete this second step.

If you are having difficulties in accessing the material, please read the following instructions:

If you are subscribing to JHC Online directly through the Histochemical Society (not using a subscription agent), please email us at johc{at}u.washington.edu or fax us at 206-616-5842 and we will try to assist you. Make sure that the subscription ID number we provided you with is available.

If you are subscribing to JHC Online through a subscription agent, you may contact JHC through your agent, or you may contact JHC directly. You may email us at johc{at}u.washington.edu or fax us at 206-616-5842 and we will try to assist you. The following information will help us identify your subscription: your unique, JHC subscriber, ID number (eight digit number beginning with A), your institution's full name and address, your subscription agent's name, and your subscription agent's unique order number for your subscription.

If you are subscribing to JHC Online through a subscription agent and the issues are being sent to them at their collection place, please call your book agent and ask them to provide us with documentation that identifies you as a subscriber. Without documentation, you will not be identified as a paid subscriber and we will not be able to help you from our office.
